What makes our tasting Signature Dish Dinner different — and why shouldn’t you miss it?
Today’s fast-paced dining scene often pushes restaurants to constantly update their menus in an effort to keep them appealing. In doing so, however, chefs can lose the opportunity to return to the dishes that truly define them — those that are personal, distinctive, and unique. In other words, their "Signature" creations, rooted in the philosophy of local cuisine, as well as in the chef’s personality and craft.
Throughout the year, Gault&Millau inspectors evaluate dishes during their visits, assigning them detailed scores. Some of these dishes — and their ratings — stand out so strongly that they deserve to be recognised as true signature creations. Through our Signature Dish Dinner evenings, we share these insights with participating restaurants and, together, present menus that represent what could be considered the “hall of fame” of each establishment.
